Important
Install Sensor Relay before any other sensor
Installation Best Practices
Sensor Relay connects to the nearest cellular tower. To ensure an optimal connection, install Sensor Relay indoors, above grade, on a shelf, or mount to the wall with provided mounting plate. Place in a location that prevents the sensor from being unplugged. Ensure the sensor is placed indoors and within 500 ft. (150 m) of the water meter (if installing Flowie O). Range depends on building layout and materials the signal needs to pass through. Try to avoid metallic and cement walls if possible.
Select your installation method:
Standard
Placing on a flat surface without any accessories.
Wall Mounted
Placing on a wall with the mounting plate accessory.
Antenna Extension
Placing in a location that needs the antenna extension cable.

Screw on antenna

Sensor Relay on it's side, the antenna being placed onto the device and secured clockwise

Plug in the sensor

Power cord being attached to sensor relay on the bottom of the devicePower cord from sensor relay being plugged into wall outlet

Confirm the Sensor Relay LED is green
See troubleshooting if it is not.

Upload a photo of the installation to the sensor details page in AlertAQ™
To get to the details section of the sensor, select the name of the sensor from the Sensors page. See help article.

If your sensors were not pre-registered, update the sensor name based on its installation.

Wall Mounted Install

Screw on antenna

Sensor Relay on it's side, the antenna being placed onto the device and secured clockwise

Plug in the sensor

Screw mounting plate to bottom of sensor
Make sure the power adapter is plugged into the bottom of the Sensor Relay before you attach the mounting plate.

Choose the appropriate wall anchor and install

Confirm the Sensor Relay LED is green

Antenna Extension Cable Install

If you have purchased Professional Services to pre-register your sensor, skip to step 2.

Attach cord to Sensor Relay
Screw the base of the cord to the antenna port, and the other end to the Antenna Extension Cable. Secure the antenna to a higher location.

Note: Ensure the antenna is not close to metal.

Plug in the sensor

Confirm the Sensor Relay LED is green
