On March 22nd, Alert Labs, Certified B corporation and maker of water leak detection systems, proudly observes World Water Day by supporting the charity, Water First, and sharing our latest figures for water conservation and avoided carbon emissions. World Water Day is “an annual United Nations Observance focusing on the importance of freshwater”. This year’s theme is Water for Peace.

8 Billion Gallons Saved

Alert Labs customers have saved over 8 billion gallons (30 billion liters) of water and prevented 180 million pounds (82,000 metric tonnes) of carbon dioxide emissions from entering the atmosphere. To put that into perspective, that’s the amount of water in 12,000 Olympic size swimming pools and the amount of CO2 absorbed by over 3 million trees in a year. Clean Drinking Water For All

World Water Day is also a time to reflect on how all governments, organizations and individuals can do more to improve access to clean drinking water for all. For the sixth year, Alert Labs is proud to support Water First, a charity that is empowering Indigenous communities to bring clean drinking water to underserved communities.
