In this role, you will be Alert Labs’ IoT fleet wrangler. Using data science, statistics, logic and problem solving skills, you will help the engineering, customer service and manufacturing teams. This includes streamlining and automating fleet monitoring tools, analyzing fleet data to proactively identify and troubleshoot issues using data science techniques and proposing solutions for our fleet of devices. Your responsibilities will include deploying and monitoring firmware releases to our growing fleet as well as help test new device features in both lab and field environments. We don’t expect you to arrive with experience in all facets of this job. A successful candidate will be eager to learn by doing and learning from team members.

Required Skills:

‍
● Familiarity with basic data science techniques such as: Descriptive statistics, Data visualization, Data cleaning, Time series analysis, Feature engineering and Data wrangling
● Experience with Python
● Experience with spreadsheets
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Strong debugging skills

Bonus Points For:

‍
● Experience interfacing with MongoDB or other document databases
● Experience interfacing with REST APIs
● Familiarity with Continuous Integration pipelines
● Familiarity with cloud services (AWS or similar)
● Familiarity with other programming languages (Javascript, C++, etc.)
● Bachelor’s degree in a related field
